At 81, Tom Selleck still isn’t ready to simply walk away from acting.
The Magnum, P.I. legend recently opened up again about the end of Blue Bloods, calling the cancellation “very frustrating.” Selleck revealed that the cast had even taken a 25% pay cut in an effort to help keep the longtime series going.
But what may surprise longtime fans is his attitude toward what comes next. Even before Blue Bloods ended, Selleck made it clear that he still loved acting and wanted to continue working. “I’d like to keep doing it,” he told CBS News.
After decades in Hollywood—from Thomas Magnum to Frank Reagan—Selleck’s message has remained remarkably consistent: appreciate the past, but don’t assume the story is finished just because one chapter has closed.
