Authorities in Georgia are handling a deeply disturbing case involving a home invasion and serious crimes against a child. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed an arrest detainer on Kenneth Moreno Guzman, a 26-year-old Mexican national who authorities say was in the United States unlawfully.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on January 12, 2025, at a family’s mobile home in Bulloch County. Guzman is accused of breaking into the residence and committing serious criminal acts involving an 11-year-old girl, while her younger sister was threatened and forced to remain present. The case has prompted multiple felony charges.
Local deputies arrested Guzman on January 15, 2026. He is currently being held without bond. Court records indicate that he previously entered the U.S. illegally in 2016, was deported once, and had a prior arrest in 2023 for driving without a license.
ICE officials confirmed that a detainer has been filed, requiring authorities to notify federal immigration officials before any potential release. This would allow immigration proceedings to move forward after the criminal case is resolved.
