For millions of television viewers, Barbara Eden will always be Jeannie — the magical blonde who made I Dream of Jeannie one of the most memorable sitcoms of the 1960s.
But August 23 is an especially remarkable day for Eden: she is celebrating her 95th birthday.
More than 60 years after becoming a television icon, Eden remains remarkably active. She has continued making public appearances and recently said she would even consider another acting role if the right script came along.
It’s hard to believe so much time has passed since Jeannie first appeared on television in 1965.
