For decades, Dolly Parton has been known for her smile, humor and seemingly endless energy. But behind the scenes, the country legend says she has been dealing with a difficult period involving her health.

In a new interview, Dolly revealed that she had been experiencing health issues she hadn’t given enough attention to while caring for her beloved husband, Carl Dean, before his death in 2025. More recently, dizziness and dehydration have contributed to her stepping back from some appearances, including a scheduled Dollywood event.

At 80, however, Dolly isn’t saying goodbye. She offered fans a reassuring message: “Even though I’m still healin’, I’m still workin’.” She continues to work on new projects while taking the time she needs to recover.

For fans who have followed Dolly for generations, her latest words reveal something familiar about her: even during one of life’s harder chapters, she’s determined to keep moving forward.
