Tina Peters was released from the La Vista Correctional Facility in Pueblo Colorado early this morning — June 1 2026 — after serving less than a quarter of her nine year sentence following a commutation by Colorado Democratic Governor Jared Polis.

Polis cited unfair sentencing and said her two co-conspirators received six months and parole respectively while she received nine years as a first time non-violent offender — adding that the judge had improperly factored her constitutionally protected free speech into her sentencing. Within hours of walking out Peters appeared on Steve Bannon’s WarRoom and said exactly what her supporters had been waiting to hear — that she knows Democrats are going to cheat and that she spent her time in prison as retribution for exposing the election machines. She went in a clerk. She came out a symbol. And this morning she walked through those doors and made sure the whole country knew she has not changed a single word of what she believes.
