Journey fans are preparing for a moment many never thought they’d see.
After more than 50 years of music, lineup changes and unforgettable arena shows, the legendary rock band is heading into the final stretch of its Final Frontier farewell tour. The last leg begins in September and is scheduled to end November 28 in San Francisco — the city where Journey’s story began.
For guitarist and co-founder Neal Schon, returning home for the finale is expected to be emotional. The tour will cap more than 100 concerts this year, with the band continuing to perform classics such as “Faithfully,” “Open Arms” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
The farewell also marks a major change for Journey. Longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain, who helped create some of the band’s most famous music, has said he plans to step away following the farewell run.
