For decades, millions of NCIS fans knew Mark Harmon as the famously private Leroy Jethro Gibbs. But away from the cameras, Harmon has had an enduring love story of his own.
The woman is Pam Dawber, the actress beloved for Mork & Mindy. Harmon and Dawber married in 1987 and have built a marriage lasting nearly four decades, raising two sons, Sean and Ty, while largely keeping their family life away from Hollywood attention.
Harmon has never offered some dramatic secret to their longevity. Asked about their marriage, he said there was no simple key and that he simply felt fortunate, calling Dawber a “neat lady.”
Fans even got a rare glimpse of the couple together when Dawber appeared alongside Harmon on NCIS in 2021.
