President Trump called Lauren Boebert dumb — the latest attack in a week where he also called her weak-minded after she refused to abandon her support for Thomas Massie — and she sat down in front of a live camera and responded in a way nobody expected.
She called it part of the D.C. nature, said nothing happens in Washington without force and told the whole country she is still going to keep every single promise she made on the campaign trail regardless of what the president says about her. Then she pointed out the one thing Trump apparently forgot — that she is running completely unopposed in her primary and the filing deadline already passed — leaving him with absolutely no move left to make. He called her dumb. She proved him wrong in three sentences. Washington has not seen anything quite like this in a very long time.
