A New Development at Hayden Panettiere’s Home Has Changed the Story — Investigators Just Took an Unexpected Step

The investigation surrounding Hayden Panettiere’s death has taken another unexpected turn.

According to a new report, federal agents were seen entering the late actress’s West Hollywood residence on the evening of August 25.

A witness inside the building told Us Weekly that more than six agents entered the residence and that they had a warrant to search the premises.

The development comes as authorities continue trying to determine exactly what happened before Hayden’s death at age 36 on August 16.

Hayden was found unresponsive at a temporary residence in Greenville, South Carolina. Emergency personnel attempted to save her, but she was pronounced dead that afternoon.

An autopsy found no signs of trauma that contributed to her death. Her official cause and manner of death remain pending while investigators await additional testing, including toxicology results.

The Drug Enforcement Administration has also joined the investigation.

However, there is an important distinction: authorities have not announced that criminal wrongdoing caused Hayden’s death, and no final conclusion about what happened has been released.

There is also some uncertainty surrounding the reported California search. Entertainment Weekly contacted the FBI’s Los Angeles office, which said it was not aware of a search conducted at Hayden’s address.

Hayden’s representative has meanwhile urged the public not to spread speculation while investigators continue their work.

For now, the biggest questions remain unanswered.
