Jennifer Aniston has spent decades around some of the biggest names in Hollywood, but there are certain words she has never forgotten.
And they came from Dolly Parton.
During a recent appearance at New York City’s 92nd Street Y, Jennifer was asked about the best advice she could offer. Instead of choosing her own words, she immediately thought of Dolly.
Jennifer called the country legend a “dear friend” and remembered one of Dolly’s favorite pieces of wisdom:
“I chased a few rainbows and I caught some.”
Jennifer then turned Dolly’s words into advice for everyone listening: chase your dreams, chase those rainbows — because sometimes you really do catch them.
The connection between the two women went far beyond simple admiration.
They became close while working together on the 2018 movie Dumplin’. Jennifer starred in and produced the film, while Dolly contributed original music. Jennifer, a longtime Dolly fan, even stepped into the recording studio herself.
Their friendship continued beyond the project, and Dolly’s optimism clearly stayed with her.
Now those simple words carry even more meaning.
Dolly spent her life chasing seemingly impossible dreams — from a childhood in the Smoky Mountains to becoming one of the most beloved entertainers in America.
And Jennifer hasn’t forgotten the lesson behind it.
Keep dreaming. Keep reaching. And never stop chasing your rainbows.
