Jermaine Jackson Had 3 Marriages and 7 Children — But One Family Connection Still Surprises Fans

Millions remember Jermaine Jackson standing alongside Michael and his brothers during the incredible rise of the Jackson 5.

But away from the stage, Jermaine built a large family of his own — and his romantic history became surprisingly complicated.

Jermaine has been married three times and is the father of seven children: six sons and one daughter.

His First Marriage Connected Two Music Dynasties

In 1973, Jermaine married Hazel Gordy, daughter of legendary Motown founder Berry Gordy.

Their marriage lasted until 1988, and they welcomed three children: Jermaine Jr., Autumn and Jaimy.

Jermaine also had a long relationship with Margaret Maldonado, with whom he had sons Jeremy and Jourdynn.

Then Came the Family Connection Few Fans Expected

In 1995, Jermaine married Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza.

What made the relationship unusual was that Alejandra had previously been with Jermaine’s younger brother Randy Jackson and already shared children with him.

Jermaine and Alejandra went on to have two sons of their own: Jaafar and Jermajesty.

Jermaine later married Halima Rashid in 2004. Their marriage eventually ended in divorce.

Today, another generation of the Jackson family is stepping into the spotlight. Jermaine’s son Jaafar Jackson has followed the family’s musical path and portrayed his uncle Michael in the 2026 biopic Michael.

After decades of Jackson family history, Jermaine’s story shows just how intertwined the famous musical dynasty became.
